So I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 last night, on our local sattelite cable chanel.

I thought it was pretty poignant. Agitprop? Sure. But it came from the heart. (Certainly not the head, though.)
One thing that struck me is how much xenophobia Moore showcases - judging by the film, Moore would have us believe that all Saudis are shady, evil people.
The irony is almost too much to bear, him demonstrating traits normally reserved for them evil Repubs and neocons.

Was pretty impressed by Mnet's line up of commentators. A good balance of opinion. I was expecting a shooting squad of lefty attack dogs rabidly defending the movie and blasting any criticism. Props to the commentator from The Economist particularly. Slops to that guy on the right, who pretty much did, however, go into attack dog mode going so far as to launch ad-hominems against the 2 critics of the film, calling the comments of one 'disengenous'. Nice. Never mind him stating Bush was 'stupid' and his retinue were all 'coalminers' (what? what's wrong with coalminers?). I could almost see the speckle flying from his mouth as he breathlessly rasped, "Let me finish.. let me finish!". Twat.
